With around 5,000 procedures annually, X-rays of arms and legs are among the most frequent diagnosis processes used by NHS Scotland. In recognition of this, £240,000 funding has been announced through a UK SBRI competition available for organisations exploring the use of AI and machine learning in fracture diagnosis. Specifically the competition will focus on how AI can be integrated into the fracture treatment pathway to improve diagnostic accuracy and improve output.
