Mammograms play a vital role in the detection of breast cancer. However, it is a time intensive process, with examination of mammograms being conducted by up to three consultants.

As part of Aberdeens’ Explorathon20 programme, members of the iCAIRD mammography project team from University of Aberdeen, NHS Grampian & industry partner Kheiron Medical will be hosting an online talk Tues 24 Nov, 12 – 1pm. They will discuss the project and explain how artificial intelligence could transform this area of cancer screening.

Admission is free but booking is required – please see link to register for the event here.

This event is brought by the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science, a partnership between the University of Aberdeen, NHG Grampian and NHS Research and Development North Node, which seeks to create data science solutions to the challenges facing health and health care.
