Overview

We are working with SME partner Kheiron to evaluate their Mammography Intelligent Assessment tool Mia for clinical-level performance & capacity to meet the needs of the Scottish Breast Screening Programme ready for deployment across NHS Scotland. The project has three main phases in this:

  • Retrospective Evaluation of Kheirons’ Mia tool
  • Real world evaluation of Mia in clinical practice in the Scottish Breast Screening Programme
  • Advanced development of Mia for further improving AI clinical decision support

Aims & Objectives

The key objectives of the project are:

  • Understand the landscape of the DaSH and SBSP to enable effective planning of Phase 1 of WP5.
  • Curate a de-identified dataset ready for analysis by Mia.
  • Retrospective evaluation of Kheiron Mia tool.
  • Scoping and preparation required for execution of real world evaluation of Mia in clinical practice in the Scottish Breast Screening Programme.
  • Real world evaluation of Mia in clinical practice in the Scottish Breast Screening Programme.
  • Scoping and preparation required for advanced development of Mia.
  • Prepare Mia for implementation beyond iCAIRD & commercialisation /implementation.
